Installation Guide:

1. Clean and thoroughly dry all contact surfaces on both the cylinder head and engine block prior to installation.
2. Use a torque wrench to tighten head bolts in the standard crosswise sequence.
3. Ensure the DuPont Viton sealing strip is not physically damaged, pinched, or crushed during placement.
4. Torque bolts strictly to manufacturer specifications to avoid uneven pressure or leakage.

Periodic Inspection & Maintenance:

• Inspect the cylinder head-to-block joint for potential leaks every 5,000 km on turbocharged and dual-fuel vehicles.
• During routine oil and coolant services, open the radiator/expansion tank cap to check for bubbles, oil sheen, or fluid discoloration.
• Using a combustion gas leak detector (combustion leak tester) in the expansion tank is recommended to detect early head gasket gas seepage.
• If severe engine vibration, white exhaust steam, unexplained coolant loss, or excess pressure in the expansion tank occurs, inspect the gasket immediately.
